travel europe russia moscow golden ring hotel suzdal banquet hall
Moscow's state-owned five star hotel for tourists feature several eating establishments.
We had the breakfast buffet in the Suzdal Banquet Hall, the largest of their halls.
It was remodeled in 2007 in the Russian neo-classic style complete with a harpist to provide the music.
Everything was very upscale and clean... the food was fresh and simple.
Although we usually don't seek out this formal an atmosphere, the meal was very enjoyable, although blander than expected.
As with most of the places we visited as tourists, we felt like we were insulated from the general populice.
